在臉部的特徵中，西方和東方文化的喜好，常常是不一樣的，例如西方偏好大的顴骨，東方卻是相反。但在頭型的偏好上，西方或東方，無論是從靈性或是美學的角度，卻是有著相同的價值觀。

在西方社會裡，修長圓潤的頭顱被視為尊貴及靈性的象徵，在東方社會裡，飽滿的後腦勺，被視為 “天庭飽滿，地閣方圓”，代表福氣、智慧與好運。透過現代電腦3D設計合併3D列印技術，我們幾乎能克服絕大多數的扁平後腦勺或是扁平的頭頂，同時達到絕佳的服貼感及頭顱對稱性。從術前術後的照片及電腦斷層，可以看到後腦勺植體與頭顱有著良好的貼合性及非常滑順的邊緣。從側面看，飽滿的後腦勺讓頭部輪廓更為立體，與臉部比例協調，更增強的整體的美感。視覺上，也讓臉部顯得更縮小。

In terms of facial features, the preferences between Western and Eastern cultures often differ. For instance, Western societies tend to favor prominent cheekbones, while Eastern cultures generally prefer the opposite. However, when it comes to head shape, both Western and Eastern cultures share similar values, whether from a spiritual or aesthetic perspective. In Western societies, an elongated and rounded skull is considered a symbol of nobility and spirituality. In Eastern societies, a full and rounded back of the head is seen as a sign of “heavenly fullness and earthly perfection,” representing prosperity, wisdom, and good fortune.

With modern 3D computer design combined with 3D printing technology, it is now possible to address most cases of flat occiputs or flat crowns, achieving excellent contour fitting and cranial symmetry. From pre- and post-operative photos as well as CT scans, the implant for the back of the head is shown to fit well with the skull, with smooth and seamless edges. From a side view, a fuller back of the head enhances the head’s overall contour, harmonizing it with facial proportions and further elevating the overall aesthetic appeal. Visually, it also creates the impression of a smaller face.
