「能只做單一部位嗎？」

The two solve different "space geometry problems":
- Mandibular bone reduction: Aiming at "facial width" and "prominent mandibular angle", the goal is to make the turning point of the side face turning to the front more supple and eliminate the toughness of the Chinese-shaped face.
- V-Line Chin Bone Reduction: Aiming at "wide, flat chin", osteotomy adjustment is used to make the chin more three-dimensional and refined.
- Dr. Hsieh's analysis: If you only reduce the side width and ignore the proportion of the chin, the chin may appear wider visually. This is why "simultaneous planning of the overall contour" can achieve better visual comfort.
This is a common logical misunderstanding.
Implants (silicone, artificial bone, hyaluronic acid, fat) essentially "add volume," which will make the chin larger. Dr. Adrian M. Hsieh pointed out that in order to truly reduce the volume and achieve a delicate “point”, V-Line chin bone reduction is currently the only medical method that can effectively “subtract” the volume.
This is the issue that patients are most concerned about. Facial sagging is related to the amount of resection, the direction of fixation and the elasticity of individual tissues.
The technique used by Dr. Hsieh is not simply "shaving off", but repositioning (repositioning) of "zygomatic bone inward folding + backward movement + upward lifting". Through the "inward and upward" fixation principle, it can effectively maintain the support of the mid-face, while reducing the width of the face, and actively prevent and reduce the risk of tissue sag.
If traditional bone resection only “cuts off a corner”, the side face will look better but the front face width will often have limited improvement.
Dr. Hsieh's emphasis on "vertical thinning (frontal thinning)" can truly narrow the frontal vision, and combined with "long curve modification" can ensure that the jaw line is continuous without creating step-like faults.
- Painless experience: The surgery is performed under general anesthesia under full supervision by a professional anesthesiologist, and there is no pain during the operation. Postoperative symptoms are mainly "swelling and tightness", which can usually be relieved by taking general analgesics.
- Nerve protection: Dr. Hsieh combines 3D digital guidance technology to accurately mark nerve pathways before surgery to avoid key tissues. A small number of patients may experience temporary numbness after surgery, which is a normal repair process and will usually recover naturally within weeks to months.
