Preoperative symptoms:
Normal occlusion and retruded mandible.
Surgery plan:
3D customized orthognathic surgery
Chin plastic surgery
Dr. Adrian M. Hsieh diagnosed the patient with maxillary protrusion accompanied by mandibular retrusion. Typical symptoms include the lower lip being easily everted and the chin being very short. Dr. Hsieh performed a multi-piece double-jaw orthognathic surgery on this patient, and used chin plastic surgery to extend the jaw line forward. We can see through the comparison of photos before and after surgery that his chin is not pulled due to the retraction of the mandible, and can close normally without everting. And you can also see the jaw line that is in line with the overall face shape.

Recovery process during the first week after surgery
The reason why I wanted to have surgery was to address the lack of confidence I had with my everted lips. It is hoped that orthognathic surgery can improve this problem. I chose Fenghua because of Dr. Hsieh’s experience and professional attitude during consultation. I believe Dr. Hsieh can help me solve my long-term problems. The situation is gradually improving. Although the first to third days after surgery are very uncomfortable, the condition can be improved by getting more rest, taking medicine on time, and replenishing calories.
Recovery process in the second week after surgery
The condition began to improve in the second week, and the swelling on my face subsided again every day, and I began to eat foods other than liquids (such as porridge, soft cakes, tofu, steamed eggs, carrot cakes, etc.). I hope we can continue to repair it in the future, and thank you Dr. Hsieh!
Recovery experience one month after surgery
Although the post-surgery repair process was hard, I think it was worth it because the orthognathic surgery really solved my long-term problems and made me more confident!
