This patient came to the clinic complaining that the silicone chin implant surgery he had received at other institutions had an unnatural chin shape and was deformed. There are a number of factors that may lead to this outcome, starting with the fact that the shape of the chin implant is too small and cannot be placed in the proper location. Secondly, the implant is not firmly fixed on the underlying bone structure, and the tissue around the implant contracts and deviates, causing uneven edge connection. We redesigned a 3D customized chin implant for this patient. This newly designed implant smoothly connects the jawline to the lower alveolar bone. Because of the precise 3D customized design, we can see on the side lines: the four parts of the lower lip -> chin -> mandible -> neck can be connected to form a beautiful and natural curve. After the surgery she was very happy with her new jaw line.
