Preoperative symptoms:
Face with receding jaw and smiling gums.
Surgery plan:
3D customized zygomatic bone infolding surgery
3D customized orthognathic surgery
Chin plastic surgery
This is a typical skeletal type II face shape, with long facial development abnormalities, excessive gums exposed when smiling, deep bites, misbites, and bony protrusions. Dr. Adrian M. Hsieh recommended surgery to treat her condition first with orthognathic surgery. It is also combined with chin osteotomy surgery and cheekbone osteotomy surgery. Through this facial proportion design, the patient’s bite function and overall facial proportions’ appearance needs can be taken into account at the same time.
Through 3D computed tomography (CT SCAN), the patient’s upper and lower jaw structures and preoperative occlusion conditions are known.3D customization technology makes the pre-planned surgical plan into a surgical guide. During the operation, the patient's upper and lower jaws and bite can be accurately adjusted to the appropriate position, greatly shortening the operation time and shortening the subsequent recovery period.

Recovery process during the first week after surgery
I came to Fenghua Clinic because I wanted to improve the appearance of my bite & was recommended by a friend.
When I woke up, I felt no strength but no pain. I had no appetite and couldn't eat for the first two days after returning home. The thing I was most afraid of was taking medicine because it was very bitter.
After the fourth day, the swelling began to subside, but the rubber band was still there, and you still had to have tubes to eat, and you still had nosebleeds and drooling without even knowing it. The hardest thing is the person who takes care of you, thank you to him.
Recovery process in the second week after surgery
In the second week, after the rubber band was removed, it was easier to eat. I could eat something that was soft and did not need to be bitten. The caring nurse taught me how to brush my teeth and clean my mouth. This week I started to do rehabilitation and massage, and continued hot compresses. The swelling was much worse than the first week, so I can run around ^_^.
I can cook my own porridge and eat it. I feel more confident after the operation. Although it takes time to recover from the operation, it is worth it!
Recovery experience one month after surgery
It has been one month and 13 days since the surgery. I am a little too thin now and my body has not returned to what it was before. The facial swelling has reduced by about 80%, and I can eat more different kinds of food. I can go to work normally, but I need to massage carefully and practice opening my mouth, otherwise my mouth will still not be able to open wide, so massage rehabilitation is very important. I hope my experience can help people who want to have surgery.
