My recovery diary
Today is the 58th day after surgery. It will be almost a month before I can eat normally. However, it is better not to try food that is too hard (mainly because it is too hard to bite, which is a waste). The feeling in my jaw has almost recovered, and I no longer feel like my mother. So far, the surgery has brought no inconvenience to my life. Apart from the swelling after surgery (which lasts about two to three weeks and is relatively uncomfortable in the first three days), there is no additional pain. Now I am not afraid of being different from others, nor am I afraid of taking off my mask, nor am I afraid of hiding from the camera. It is true that everyone has imperfections, but if you can improve imperfections to the point where you can accept it, be willing to accept your changed self, and love yourself, the world you see will be different.

It was about the 19th day after the operation. I saw on the Internet that you can eat some curry and risotto besides Chinese food. One night for dinner, I decided to try the special omelette rice (curry sauce with egg whites and nothing else!). After the first bite, I felt alive. Although I was still a little uncomfortable, I was very touched to eat food other than liquids. I started eating curry sauce with rice in the next few days to let my teeth adapt to the bite. I hope that I can slowly return to eating normally in the future. P.S. McDonald’s corn chowder, you can ask the clerk not to have corn, which is also the star of hunger relief on the 15th.

Ever since he was a child, he noticed that his appearance was different from that of others and that he could not close his mouth, so he began to think about correction. The germ of orthodontics was buried from junior high school to the journey of braces that started after graduating from high school. Fortunately, my orthodontist recommended Dr. Adrian M. Hsieh to me. That business card was placed in the summer vacation after my high school graduation. The long-awaited day finally arrived. Dr. Hsieh made people feel reassured that everything would go well if left to the doctor. There was no pain after the surgery except for the swelling which made me feel uncomfortable. The rest was fine. In addition, I am also very grateful to the nurses at Fenghua Clinic for their meticulous care~ Although this surgery is a major surgery, as long as you dare to take that step, I believe that doctors will have unlimited possibilities. Cheer up for you who are hesitant and afraid!
