A feminized face in nowadays is favored either by female individuals but surprisingly more and more requested by certain male groups. This phenomenon is probably caused by the current cosmetic trend, increasing gender identity disorder and many successful experiences from the career of many trans-gender artists. Actually before performing any kind of facial cosmetic procedures, we have to understand the masculinity and femininity of a face. This presentation will focus on the different facial characteristics between male and female and how to achieve a feminized face by proper contouring of the craniofacial skeleton with additional facial cosmetic procedures. Before and after clinical cases will also be shown and discussed.

Orthognathic surgery has a long history of being the adapted treatment for dentofacial deformity. However, maxillofacial surgery has gained its recognition in the past few years for treating obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). With better understandings now, it seems clear that surgical-orthodontic treatment plan has greater effect on posterior airway space (PAS) in addition to the priorly demonstrated benefits of facial aesthetics and occlusion stability. In this lecture, how multi-disciplines treatment can be effectively applied to achieve combined treatment goals that will reconstruct facial aesthetic, manage occlusion, and maintain posterior airway space.
